The most asked question: Why did I move to Japan? 

Since high school, it has always been my dream of mine to live in Japan. Being a descendant of Japan, I've always been interested in the Japanese culture, food, history, etc. I always loved traveling to Japan, it was always my favorite vacation destination.

Wow, it's been a month since I took the biggest step in my life: moving to Japan.

I have transitioned into my new lifestyle quite smoothly. I have been fortunate to have family kind enough to help me settle in. If it wasn't for them and some friends I moved to Japan with then I wouldn't be transitioning so well. It is important to learn as much as possible about a country's culture before moving there. While my Interac assignment may not require me to drive, I have decided that it may be a good idea to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) just in case (emergencies or road trips haha). The process is very quick and simple. This can be done in one visit if you have everything.

This is probably one of the most important lists I am compiling for Japan - The packing list for the big move! You don't want to forget anything when moving abroad, especially if the item is not available in Japan.

I will most likely be bringing 2 large suitcases, so I must be able to fit all my necessities in there...
